Don't Let Me Down

Liner Notes:

scratchy and hurried, wish i had done a better job, but whatever.

this is my final rocktober one this year. enjoy, i did! :-)

Lyrics:

Don't let me down, don't let me down
Don't let me down, don't let me down

Nobody ever loved me like she do me
Ooh she do me, yeah she does
And if somebody ever really loved me
Ooh she'd love me, yeah she does

Don't let me down, don't let me down
Don't let me down, don't let me down

I'm in love for the first time
Don't you know it's such a blast
It's a love that lasts forever
It's a love that has no past

Don't let me down, don't let me down
Don't let me down, don't let me down

And from the first time that she really done me
Ooh she done me, she done me good
I guess nobody ever really done me
'Til she done me, she done me good

Don't let me down, don't let me down
Don't let me down, don't let me down

Very well done for being hurried! I love the layers of guitars and vocals!

Very nice. Vocals are great. I really like the kinda sloppy, grungy sound of it. Gives the tune a much rawer feel than the original. Kinda Neil Young & Crazy Horse-like. Smile

The guitars are almost grunge flavored, while the vocals seemed to be almost a light, r&b/indie... or maybe I don't know what it is. But there's so many interesting juxtapositions here, including the intro. Enjoyable, could be cleaned up into something really cool, if one wanted to put that kind of time into a cover for fun...

As it stands, it's fun, ragged and inventive. Nice!

That was good Calum, guitars well handled giving a real flavour of the song and then some, good job, I enjoyed the listen.

wow, that's a great one! that first little acoustic bit had me wondering why you labelled this 'electric', till I heard the rest. (That first acoustic part sounded a bit like van morrison, circa 'astral weeks' doing it, in fact.). The main part of this is really well done, of course, and its great to hear all those riffs done so well against that passionate vocal. I like how it got more adventurous in the arrangment as it went on.

great song, great job!
